The Grumman AA-1B is an excellent trainer aircraft due to its responsive handling, simplicity, and straightforward design. Its light control feel helps student pilots quickly develop precise stick-and-rudder skills, while its low-wing configuration introduces them to performance characteristics similar to more advanced aircraft. The sliding glass canopy also offers perfect visibility in all directions. All of our Grummans are equipped with upgraded engines and larger propellers to help with climb performance in New Mexico’s thin air. Used for Private, Instrument and Commercial Training.
