The Cessna Skyhawk is a single-engine training aircraft, a cornerstone of ATP’s training program. ATP operates one of the largest training fleets of CE-172 Skyhawks, known for stable flight characteristics, advanced avionics, and proven dispatch reliability. The fleet includes K-P and newer R-S models, with nearly 95% being R-S models. Many feature Garmin G1000 NXi electronic flight deck and autopilot technology. ATP is accepting delivery of at least 40 brand new Cessna 172s each year through 2027. These are larger four-seat aircraft, powered by a Lycoming 160 HP (R-Model) or 180 HP (S-Model) engine with 53 US gal usable fuel capacity.
